Order & Artwork Approval

Calm, clear guidance for a first-time-right result

 

 

Before We Begin

When you trust us with your print, you’re trusting us with your brand and we don’t take that lightly. These terms are here to make the process clear, calm and predictable, so you always know what to expect from us and what we need from you.

They’re not written in legal jargon or heavy disclaimers. Just straightforward guidance that protects your project,
your deadlines and your brand. If anything feels unclear, or you’d like us to talk you through it, we’re here to help.

Order & Artwork Approval Terms

These terms outline how we work together to deliver print that’s exactly right the first time.
By placing an order or approving artwork, you agree to the following.

1. Orders

Once an order is confirmed in writing (email or online approval), we begin production planning.
Any changes requested after approval may affect cost or timelines. We will always outline this clearly before proceeding.

2. Artwork Supply

Please supply artwork in a print-ready format unless we are preparing files for you. Print-ready means correct size,
bleed, crop marks, colour profiles and embedded or outlined fonts. If you need a little guidance with this, please see our Artwork Guide HERE.

We complete a pre-flight check to protect your brand and flag anything that may affect the final outcome.
If changes are required, we’ll discuss options before continuing.

3. Artwork Approval

We only begin production once the final proof has been approved in writing. Your approval confirms that all content,
layout, imagery and colours are correct and reflect your brand standards.

Once approved, Melbourne Print cannot accept liability for errors within supplied artwork.
Screens display colour differently to print, so if precise colour is essential, we recommend requesting a physical proof.

This may incur an additional cost, and could add additional time to your turnaround.

4. Colour, Materials & Finishes

We take great care to achieve consistent results. Slight variations can occur between materials, inks and
production processes. For brand-critical work, a physical proof offers the most reliable check before production begins.

5. Timelines & Delivery

Production timelines are agreed once artwork is approved. Please inform us if your deadline is fixed so we can prioritise
accordingly. Delays caused by late artwork, unclear instructions or supply issues may affect delivery. Courier delays are
uncommon but possible.

6. Amendments After Approval

Any changes made after final approval require a new proof and may affect cost or timings. If production has already begun,
changes may not be possible.

7. Cancellations

If you cancel an order after approval, any work already completed  (including proofs, setup time and materials)
will be chargeable. If production has begun, cancellation may not be possible.

8. Quality Assurance

Every printed job is checked in-house for colour accuracy, alignment, and finish. If something isn’t right,
we correct it before dispatch. If the delivered work does not match the approved proof, we will resolve the issue promptly.

9. Intellectual Property

By supplying artwork, you confirm that you hold the necessary rights and permissions to reproduce all content,
imagery and fonts.

10. Sustainability

If sustainability is important to your project, please let us know before artwork approval so we can recommend suitable
materials.

11. Payment

Payment terms are outlined on your quote and invoice. Upfront payment may be required for bespoke or high-value work.
Late payment may affect production or delivery.

12. Use of Photography & Video

We occasionally photograph or film completed work for use on our website, social media and marketing materials.
These images showcase real projects and help celebrate the brands we work with.

We will never share confidential information or sensitive content. If you do not want your work to be photographed or shared,
please inform us in writing before production begins. We will respect this without question.
